Ohio's Sixth Annual Special Education Leadership Conference — Closing the Achievement Gap: Show Me What Works!

Sept. 26 - 27, 2012 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center

The Ohio Department of Education’s Office for Exceptional Children held Ohio’s Sixth Annual Special Education Leadership Conference on September 26-27, 2012.

The Conference theme was Closing the Achievement Gap and the overarching focus was “Show Me What Works!” to improve results for children with disabilities in reading, math and behavior.

Ohio's Fifth Annual Special Education Leadership Conference - Charting a Course for Improvement - Strategies That Work! The 2011 conference continued the tradition of quality professional development by presenting an outstanding program featuring local and national experts in the field of special education. The goal was to present examples of effective instructional practices and model programs that have actual child performance data to show they contribute to improved progress in reading, math and behavior for children with disabilities.
