Embedded in the OCIS, the IACP is a tool to facilitate the college and career planning process. It's recommended that students begin developing their IACP in eighth grade and update it annually throughout high school.

Professional Development and Training

As Ohio students' needs change, so does the OCIS with regard to engaging students in academic and career exploration, planning, and decision-making. ODE strives to keep educators informed about enhancements and changes within OCIS through statewide, regional, and local training and workshop sessions. Most major enhancements to OCIS occur in early fall. For information regarding scheduled OCIS trainings and workshops, click here.
