Competency-Based Diploma Pilot Program Responsibilities

The Comptency-Based Pilot Program is a competency-based credit recovery program designed to help adults earn their high school diplomas. The program is free to adults who do not have a high school diploma or equivalent, are at 18-21 years old, and live in Ohio.

Responsibilities of a School District of Residence

Once a student has completed the requirements of the Competency-Based Diploma Pilot Program through an approved provider, the student’s district of residence is responsible for issuing a high school diploma and final transcript within 60 days of receiving a certificate of completion from an approved Comptency-Based Pilot Program provider.

  • EMIS or other similar programs should not be used to create the final transcript.
