The Summer Food Service Program, funded by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, provides cash reimbursements to sponsoring agencies that serve nutritionally adequate meals to low-income children or to children living in low-income areas throughout Ohio.
The program is administered at the state level by the Ohio Department of Education. Organizations participating in the Summer Food Service Program must be exempt from federal taxes.
