If you are interested in learning about ways your school can meet the criteria for the USDA’s HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC) through school menu planning and healthy food preparation, the following webinar series will be helpful. After viewing the six webinars, you are eligible to attend the four hour Healthy Cuisine for Kids - HealthierUS School Challenge Cooks Training. This four hour hands-on training/workshop is designed for school nutrition professionals who are interested in serving healthier meals to the students at their schools. In this four hour workshop, participants will participate in hands-on recipe preparation with sampling.
Before signing up for the workshop, you will need to view each of the brief six webinars. You will be asked to share information from the webinars at the cooking class. Download the associated handouts to help you prepare for the cooking class.
