Ohio Department of Education Teaching

The Ohio Department of Education thanks everyone for feedback provided on Ohio's Science Academic Content Standards revisions, which were approved by the State Board of Education at its June 2010 meeting. The revised standards will be effective when newly aligned assessments are implemented in several years.

MODEL CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

ODE is now beginning the next phase of refining Ohio's Comprehensive Educational System with the development of a Model Curriculum, which will be a Web-based tool for educators. At meetings this summer  and fall, teachers are working collaboratively in teams to suggest instructional strategies and resources for the Model Curriculum.
