FY-2008

In fiscal year 2008, the appropriation to the lottery profits education fund group was $688.9 million. Of that amount, $666.2 million was designated to support line item 200-550 (Foundation Funding), which supports formula aid, special education weighted funding, career technical education weighted funding, poverty based assistance, parity aid, charge off supplement aid and other forms of aid to districts as well as education service centers. The balance of the appropriation was designated for the retirement of bonds used to support school construction.

The list that can be accessed below for school districts shows the dollar amount and percent of state funding on the SF-3 supported by the lottery fund for each school district in fiscal year 2008. Variations in the percentages from the lottery fund reflect differences among districts in the amount of their SF-3 funding from line item 200-550.

For educational service centers and community schools, the percentage reflects the amount of state funding that comes from the lottery profits education fund, as reflected on their payment report.
