The successful passing of licensure examinations is part of the credentialing process in Ohio. These examinations are provided by Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL/LTI).
The Praxis Series TM is provided by ETS and includes Praxis II, which measures professional, pedagogical and subject-specific knowledge and skills.

Ohio Assessments for Educators - NEW
Beginning Sept. 1, 2013, Ohio Assessments for Educators, a new series of tests developed by the Evaluation Systems Group of Pearson, will replace the Praxis II series as the required Ohio educator licensure assessments, except for world languages. At this website, licensure candidates, educator preparation programs, administrators and others seeking information about OAE will find key dates, test information, contact information and frequently asked questions. The site will be updated periodically with additional information and resources.
