Please consult the out-of-state packet for specific Ohio licensure examination requirements, which may be different from tests required by other states.

Procedures for International Credentials

If your college or university coursework was completed outside the United States, your international academic credentials require a course by course analysis from an approved credentials evaluation service.  Please click here for a listing of approved organizations.

Please note that you will need to request a detailed (course by course) evaluation. If you are applying for initial teacher certification or licensure, you must show evidence of the completion of a baccalaureate degree, and the completion of a teacher preparation program including student teaching (practice teaching).

If you wish to utilize coursework completed outside the United States for another purpose, such as renewal of a certificate or license, the credential evaluation report would need to indicate that the coursework was completed at an accredited two year or four year degree-granting institution.
