Achieve, Inc., a bipartisan, non-profit education organization created by the nation's governors and business leaders, conducted a policy study on Ohio’s education system and presented its findings and recommendations to the State Board of Education on February 13, 2007.

Achieve’s report, Creating a World-Class Education System in Ohio, recognizes how far Ohio has come and confirms that Ohio's education system is on the right track. It also provides recommendations for how to build upon Ohio's efforts to date and to move Ohio's education system forward, based upon national and international best practices.
Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the study is part of Achieve’s ongoing work with Ohio through the American Diploma Project, which focuses on aligning K–12 curriculum, standards, assessments and accountability policies with the demands of college and work.
